About Miracle Paws Therapy & Wellbeing Dogs

EVERY PAWPRINT TELLS OUR STORY

It’s About the Moment That Matters

At Miracle Paws Therapy & Wellbeing Dogs, we believe everyone deserves to feel seen, supported and connected.

Sometimes words are difficult. Sometimes people simply need a moment to pause, breathe and feel that someone is there and sometimes, a Therapy & Wellbeing Dog can create that connection in a way that words simply cannot.

Our Therapy & Wellbeing Dog teams bring comfort, calm, connection and happiness to people across schools, universities, hospitals, mental health settings, aged care, workplaces, corporate environments, sporting events and community settings.

But what we do is about much more than meeting a beautiful dog.

The Why....Every Moment Counts

  • It might be helping a student feel calmer before an exam.

  • Sitting beside a child who finds reading aloud difficult but feels safe reading to a dog.

  • Providing companionship and bringing back treasured memories for someone in aged care.

  • Bringing comfort and gentle companionship to patients, while giving busy healthcare professionals a few precious minutes to pause, smile and decompress.

  • Supporting someone experiencing grief, distress or crisis without expecting them to explain how they are feeling.

  • Helping players settle and manage pre-event nerves before stepping onto the sporting field, while offering patrons a moment of calm, comfort and connection amid the excitement of a big event.

  • Or bringing colleagues together and creating a happier, more connected workplace.

  • Every interaction is different because every person is different.

    Our dogs don't judge.
    They don't ask difficult questions.
They simply meet people where they are - often creating a natural pathway to conversation, connection and a smile.

Why Miracle Paws Exists

Miracle Paws was born from seeing firsthand the extraordinary difference a dog can make during some of life's most difficult moments.

Our journey began with Remy affectionately known as Dr. Remy, our original Therapy & Wellbeing Dog, bringing comfort and connection to the Melbourne community following the Bourke Street tragedy. Those early moments showed us how a gentle presence could help people feel supported when words were hard to find.

What began with one dog and a desire to help has grown into a dedicated team of Therapy & Wellbeing Dogs and handlers, supporting people across education, healthcare, mental health, aged care, workplaces, sporting environments and the wider community.

As Miracle Paws has grown, our purpose has remained the same:

To be there for people with a gentle, non-judgmental presence, creating moments of comfort, connection and happiness when they need them most.

Every Visit Has a Purpose

Whether we're walking into a classroom, hospital ward, university, aged care residence, mental health setting, workplace or sporting environment, we never lose sight of the individual person in front of us.

Because behind every visit there may be someone having a difficult day.

Someone feeling nervous about what comes next.

Someone who needs connection.

Someone who hasn't smiled yet today.

Someone who simply needs a quiet moment.

And sometimes, four paws and a wagging tail are exactly what they need.

Miracle Paws Therapy & Wellbeing Dogs
